Location: Adelaide Support Office (South Australia)

 

Join The Shoe Group as a Planning Manager

We are looking for an experienced and hands on Planning Manager to keep our top sellers stocked, streamline slow movers, and lead a dynamic team that delivers results. You’ll combine strong financial planning with the practical, customer focused energy that defines both Spendless and Corasol making sure every store has the right product, in the right place, at the right time.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Smart stock management - Balance weeks cover, stock turn and GP across 200+ stores, using daily & weekly sales reads to stay ahead of demand.
  • Team leadership - effectively managing a small team of Merchandise Allocators
  • Planning & analysis - Own the Open to Buy, review ranges by store each season, and jump on size ratio tweaks before they become an issue.
  • Financial guardianship - Monitor FX impacts, partner with Finance on GP targets, and prep tidy insights for auditors or ad-hoc deep dives.
  • Cross functional hustle- Collaborate with Retail, DC, Branding and IT to turn strategy into product on shelf fast.
  • Continuous improvement - Spot gaps, pilot new reporting tools, and champion change so we’re always a step ahead of the market.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven retail planner with a track record in stock cover, turn & GP optimisation.
  • Experience in leading a small team desirable but not essential but you have a passion for people
  • OTB wizardry and solid grasp of local & imported supply chains.
  • Strong Excel, BI or other relevant reporting skills and the confidence to back decisions with numbers 
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain or similar.
  • Previous experience in a planning function required
