Based at our Support Centre in Gillman, Adelaide, you will be part of a national retail business supporting over 200 stores across Australia. About the Role: Reporting to the CFO, the Finance Manager will collaborate closely with business unit managers to improve financial performance and support sound decision making across our Adelaide Support Centre. Leading a small accounting team, you will oversee month end close processes, maintain internal controls, and ensure accurate financial reporting. The role also involves building strong relationships, delivering insightful financial analysis, and supporting a range of financial planning activities. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the finance team, providing guidance and coaching.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial reports.
- Overseeing AP, AR, BAS, and general ledger activities.
- Coordinate year-end reporting and liaise with external tax accountants.
- Oversee and authorise weekly and monthly payroll processing.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial internal controls and processes to ensure compliance and best practices.
What We’re Looking For: - CPA/CA qualification required, with a degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong people leadership skills with a passion for team development
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience in business partnering or management accounting, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting, delivering consistently accurate and clear information
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, internal control frameworks, and month-end close processes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
