ACCOUNTANT "We're searching for a skilled and dynamic Accountant to join our team! If you're ready for an exciting and challenging opportunity, we’d love to hear from you!" Reporting to the Finance Manager, as the Accountant for Spendless Shoes, you’ll play a key role in preparing financial reports and insightful commentaries. We’re currently undergoing a company-wide ERP system upgrade, and your support during this transition will be critical. You will assist in developing and managing financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Your expertise will help management interpret financial data to make informed business decisions. This role is central to maintaining, controlling, and reporting on the financial health of businesses within The Shoe Group. - Exceptional numerical and analytical ability
- Excel super-user with expertise in automation, forecasting models, and large data set management
- Proficient in finance applications and highly adaptable to learning new software systems
- Knowledge of Dynamics 365 Finance an advantage

Key Responsibilities - Review store P&L for anomalies
- Prepare end-of-month financials, including variance analysis and commentary
- Maintain the fixed asset register
- Assist with monthly and annual statutory reporting, entry and lodgements (GST, payroll tax, WorkCover)
- Process weekly wage journals
- Generate periodic reports and analyze financial data for internal departments
- Assist with stocktake reporting and reconciliation
- Support annual audit processes
- Perform monthly and year-end general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with FBT financials
- Ad hoc tasks as directed by the Finance Manager
- Undertake other tasks as directed by the group CFO
Skills & Qualifications - Strong technical accounting ability

- CPA or CA qualified (or progressing towards)
